The theme for Spring 2024 was “Protecting Our Democracy.” Democracy is the foundation of how we live our lives. It requires hope, the conviction that, together, we can build a better world, and being alert and active - - not only during Presidential elections, but continuously. The children have this vision: to support their families and community through voting and actively engaging in our democracy. Often when humans experience challenges, we struggle to find the inner strength and power that exists in all of us. This semester we asked our students, “What can you do to uphold and protect democracy?” The words and ideas that come from their young minds will lead us as all we march together into our optimistic future.
