"Transplants" is an eight-episode dramedy about two Midwestern brothers, Alex and Dave, who leave their family and crumby jobs behind to start new lives in New York City. Every small-town kid thinks the grass is greener, but in reality, there is no grass or foliage; it's just cement and asphalt. They experience a painful landing at first with their slum of an apartment, lack of success on the job front, and their shrinking life savings, but over time, they start to see a path forward in the Big Apple. It's a lean path, but as long as they stick together and learn from their many mistakes along the way, they may one day think of themselves as "true" New Yorkers.
